They called this guy Brutus. He is an enormous grizzly bear boar, on a mission seeking out a female to romance.

We spotted him far off in the distance and immediately changed our direction to intercept his path.

He stopped briefly to pick up the scent of his girlfriend he is tracking.

He was walking so fast, we nearly missed him. All I could get were these 4 pictures, none of them great, but he is the biggest grizzly so far we have seen.

I couldn't resist taking all these pictures of him, foraging for breakfast.
This is a black bear we saw beside the road. He was so cute and didn't seem to mind the crowd he attracted.
This guy is demolishing an old log, looking for ants and bugs to eat.

We watched him work at this for several minutes.

He's determined to find some yummy morsels.

Still going at it.

This a female grizzly we found at the top of Togwotee Pass just outside of Teton National Park. We named her Felicia, and she posed for us here. I think she is one of the prettiest bears I've seen.

She did not seem to mind all the people watching her. Next year she won't be so kind...she will most likely have a cub by her side.
170518TetonDay2Import2073Print
But this year, she could care less that she was the center of attention for about 50 people who stopped to photograph her.

A BIG girl!

Look at those claws! You can see that she has an ear tag so that the wildlife folks can keep up with her.

Felicia grazes very close to our car... so close that I have to zoom out to keep her in frame. I'm filming from inside the vehicle through the sunroof...she is up close and personal. Quite an experience!
The second day we photographed Felicia, she went to sleep under these trees. Here she is waking up from her nap.

She came real close to our car...she is massive!

Just seeing a little sliver of those teeth gives one respect for her powerful jaws.

To me, she was breathtakingly beautiful.
170521TetonDay5Import2432Print
A massive creature but kind to her admirers.

Hmmm....should I get a manicure today?

What is she thinking about?
170521TetonDay5Import2566Print
Her expression appears menacing, but it's just a yawn.
