We took a side trip to Yellowstone. This is the Snake River as it meanders into Teton National Park. The scene captured my eye as this area of the park is not open in winter, even to snow coaches, so to see this amount of snow on the banks of the river on a beautiful, clear, spring day was an amazing sight.
Driving to Jackson Hole, we passed by this little log church in the tiny community of Eden, CO.
The doors are never locked. Itinerant ministers hold services here twice a month.
The church was built in 1934 near the Oregon Trail to commemorate those pioneers who traveled through the area. Our names are now in the Visitor's Book.
It's wide open spaces near the Wyoming/Colorado Border on Route 430 to Sand Wash Basin.
A passing car stopped to inquire if we had car trouble on this desolate road. Living in the area, the kind gentleman told us the name of this rock formation is the Kissing Camels.
The still wild west. Not much of it left - I'm glad we got to see it.
